One of the easiest ways to keep track of the office cleaning
that needs done at your work place is to make office cleaning check lists.
These lists can be broken into daily tasks, weekly tasks, and monthly tasks.
Once you have made office cleaning check lists for the
tasks; according to the frequency they need to be done; it will be easier to
assign employees to take care of the tasks, or to tell the office cleaning
service you hire what things you want done.
The following are some examples of office cleaning check
lists:
Cleaning to be done on a daily basis
• vacuum up any debris from the floors
• empty all trash baskets in the office
• place new liners in the trash baskets after you empty them
• clean windows and glass surfaces that are seen by the
public
• clean the restrooms
• mop and disinfect the restroom floors
• stock the restrooms with paper products, hand soaps, and
other essential products
• apply spray disinfectant to waiting areas
• refill supplies in the break room
• wipe all surfaces in the break room down using a
disinfecting solution
Cleaning to be done on a weekly basis
• mop all tile or hardwood floors with a disinfectant
• water all plants in the offices
Each office will have different cleaning chores that need to
be attended to so you will need to use these lists as guidelines, and add
things you need done, or remove things that do not apply to your office suite. If
you assign personnel to do the cleaning chores in the office, have them initial
the task sheet each week so you can quickly see who cleaned the area last, and
when the area was last cleaned.
